A view of the forbidden city seen from the white pagode. The forbidden city is huge.
A view of the jingshan park (aka coal mountain). The view of the forbidden city from the top of the mountain is said to be amazing. Unfrotunately the building on the top was under reconstruction, thus we were not able to see that view. A taste of what it might be like will come though.
